Birdhouse Belt girl…

Okay, finally my studio is almost done – not good enough to show you, but good enough to paint in! And I painted over an ancient canvas, probably one of the first ones I ever bought. I can tell cause there are staples on the side, and I’m much too *cough* sophisticated to have staples anymore!

So here’s the girl, and I LOVE her! Since the canvas is 12 x 36, there was room enough to make a bigger face, and I like her ’spression. The face is usually the hardest part to do. Also, on this girl I painted her shirt, and gave her a McKenzie Childs birdhouse for a belt buckle!

Can’t WAIT to make her say something!

Allison-
I took a look at that measuring tape and just thought she should say “She doesn’t measure herself in inches”.
