Deadliest Catch
What is it about this show that is so compelling? I know, this post has no art in it, but man oh man, Deadliest is unreal! I just watched a marathon, while working of course, but I couldn’t help but keep the tv on with the volume UP. Check it out – let me know what you think!

dear allison, i saw a posting on facebook of an art piece of yours by aimee of artsyville & loved it & so googled your art! it is so clearly so purely & deliciously from your heart. i read your “about” & part of your story resonated with me about discovering the artist within later (i’m 44 & began the art journey actively about 2 yrs ago) & am finding such a loving response around me. i have such a drive to keep creating & the part that scares me more currently is figuring out increasingly the business side of things (selling cards/how to number them, buying a fax, etc!). anyhow, all this to say because i feel a resonance with you & again, love your art!! (& i haven’t seen this tv show but it looks like a lot of fun!). lots of love!

Dear Allison,
I live in Alaska and have been able to eat the crab that TDC gets from the ocean. I have known men who have gone out on the same boats, and I can tell you that I would never have enough guts to go out on a boat and do what they do. They are either brave or crazy!!! But in anycase it is a good show and I do admire the men for going out and risking thier lives so that all of us can have the yummy bounty they collect. One more thing is anyone ever comes up here to Alaska Id love to show you around, I live near Anchorage Alaska. Thank you by the way for all your wonderful art. You inspire me.

My husband and I LOVE that show. I’m with you…I don’t know what makes it so compelling? Maybe the danger? Maybe the fact that I could never be on a ship rocking like that for more than a few minutes? Don’t know but it’s a great show!!
